One of the ways we share God’s love with our city is by meeting needs in a very practical way. Our community ministries team sponsors two large events each year: ShareFest is a Satruday work day in the fall. We send teams out to locations around the city to work in schools, on homes and in neighborhood areas to make repairs, clean-up, spruce-up, whatever is needed to make a school or neighborhood a better place. Give A Kid A Chance is an annual back-to-school ministry that provides backpacks, school supplies and clothing to children at one of our local elementary schools. In addition to these events, we have dozens of smaller community projects organized by our Bible study classes. Our purpose in all of these ministries is to get out of the church walls and into our world to demonstrate God’s love so that we win the right to share about Christ.
