Susie Shumaker has served as Director of Weekday Early Education since June 1986. She taught kindergarten here for 11 years before becoming director. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with graduate work from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She has been certified to teach in Arkansas for more than 30 years. Susie has served as a conference leader for WEE Workshop of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, Association of Christian Schools International, and Arkansas Education Association.

Susie and her husband, Bud, have two grown children, Karen and Kevin. They have been members of Geyer Springs since 1972.
